PoV - Patientia Omnia Vincit, as most knows the guild was created as 10 man raiding guild in late Ulduar patch. Lately we have been put back progress wise due to server crashes on Tarren Mill. The reason for migrating to The Maelstrom.
Now after a couple of weeks, it seems like we have a good member staff and set-up for continuing the progress and reach the goal in getting Lich King down, and end this Expansion, by progressing Heroic encounters.
The guild does not require much from its members, but a few things to have in mind. We have always had a good reputation on Tarren Mill. A reputation that we want to continue with on The Maelstrom. Meaning we do require people to behave in pugs, and in general around on server. All is mature players, and lets keep it that way.
Any problems that occurs between members is in general sorted by people themselves, again mature and grown people can talk in a decent manner to each other and sort any issues.
We have few things that we don't tolerate at all, and can in worst case resolve in guild kick.
1. The so called NINJA style, If you pug something handle loot in proper manner, tell the raid if anything is reserved, and how You intend to do loot BEFORE starting. 2. Don't ever talk bad about others in a way that goes personal, either in raids, pugs, trade chat or even guild chat. sort personal issues in proper manner in whispers, or simply ignore people you don't like.
Remember when carrying the name PoV, you show people that you ain't from any hardcore emo guild, but you are from a well respected guild that treads people nice. Basicly you are the face to the other players on the server.
In this post You will find the basics need to know for being in this guild, and take part in our Journey through Icecrown.
The Staff:
Officers: - Trylleand (atm. busy irl. so wont be so much online) - Manaroth (atm. busy irl, so wont be so much online) - Llou (Applications, loot) - Jazzypimpton (Raidleading) - Superfly (Raidleading) - Salle (Raidleading, website)
All officers cover in on all, but as listed above if You have something regarding anything special, make sure you address it to the right person.
Management: - Qter - Darckie - Prospect
Management takes care of the guild bank, they are in full charge of it, meaning they decide prices, they sort BoE items, recipies, saronites etc. If you need anything, are low and need one certain thing those are the guys to talk to. They are also able to tell you who can craft what, and in most cases they can do it themselves. The management also brings flask, potions and further on raids, selling them. Also tell Management if you are able to provide any kind of mats for the Guild Bank, the guild bank will ofc. always accept donations of mats, but will also provide payment if needed.
Mainly we focus on 25 man raid, meaning that we cant as guild offer official 10 man raids, we simply don't have the time for it.
On the official raids offered 3 times a week, there is simple rules: We try to set the standard team of the signs 24 hours before raid start, so people can plan on doing something else, if they are on standby. This means that we make the team from Raider and Member ranked people. From time to time You will find social members to be confirmed for going also.
Raiders that sign within 24 hour before raid start, have in general priority on spot, but a raider that signs to late, can't take any spots from Members that signed within time limit. Raidleaders do take the freedom to set in their opinion best setup for certain encounters.
Invites for raid start at, 18:30 and goes until 18:45, from 18:45 replacements will be taken if the raidleaders think it should be done. If You can't make it within the invite time, just look at the event to see who is the standing raidleader on the event, and send him an inngame mail, telling at what time he can expect You to be online.
When at raid we expect: - You to be prepared, read up on the fights we are facing. - Bring flasks for your main spec, to last all night, and bring enough health potions, dmg burst potion or what COULD be needed. - Dont rely on the Management to serve You with the requirements, since its easier for one to take care of him self, than it is for 3. person to serve the whole raid. - We do raid in a casual way, meaning talking on ventrilo is highly appreciated, but in front of a boss fight, we do expect people to have full focus, listen to what is being said, and do your best, that's all we require. Remember we are all here to have fun doing what we like, raid with progress, but in a casual way, so it means people can tell the difference from when its allowed to talk or not - We got chat channels for tanks and healers, and do expect people to join those if they are one of those 2 things.
/join povhealers and /join povtanks
At the moment Raidleaders use some people to help out were needed.
Sixxbag - Is handling all tanking stuff, he will make rotation for tanks on certain encounters, he will insist on certain tank on certain fights, and he will manage an equal rotation in general between tanks. He also through tank channel make sure tanking is sorted when on raids, so we expect tanks to listen to him, as he will listen to You. Tell him if You can sit over on some days, and what fights you really need to go on for certain loots etc.
Skalle - is helping in sorting healing stuff if certain jobs need certain focus, but in general we expect healers to sort things together in healing channel.
Few things to know when put on standby: If on standby You have 1 of 2 choices to make. Do You want to see if anything changes so You go on raid. (No shows, Offsigns etc.) then we do expect you to be online at raid invite. If You want to plan something else, irl. other raids etc. then remove the sign from event, so Raidleaders can rely on the current standbys to be ready for filling in.
In general if You can sit over on some encounters, and are confirmed, then let Raidleaders know when invite starts that we can bring another on perhaps the first 1 or 2 wings. We know for a fact that Wednesdays always is the days with most signs, cause its new cooldown and lots of easy takedowns.
How do we sort loot:
Everything is being rolled for, but Raiders can add 15 to their roll. Tokens might be given to tanks regardless of roll, since we want to make sure we have the tanks in the best gear for progress fights. The Officers might also overrule any given roll, if the item is way bigger upgrade for another than the winner of the item. In general this never happens since people kinda have a mature attitude regarding loot, and passes if they know its a minor upgrade compared to others.
How do ranks get sorted: Raider rank is evaluated every month, out from attendance, it requires 90% attendance to get the rank. Signing for a raid being online at invite and prepared counts as one attendance, even if you are on standby and rewards +1. Removing signs when confirmed or on standby, counts as no show and rewards -1. Signing as Social does not give any points. Going from Social to Member rank requires coordination with the officers.
Remember the Raider rank is not made to favourite certain people with loot. Its simply made to have a certain amount that we can rely on to keep raids up, and for that gratz them with the safe raid spot, and the choice of adding 15 to their rolls.
